Accordion Repair -
With respect to construction, the accordion is one of the most complicated musical instruments,
and as such, requires technicians with many years of comprehensive
experience to properly repair and tune the instrument. It is
advised that before embarking on an extensive repair of your accordion
it is necessary to review the credentials of the repairman in terms of
the years of experience, and to check with recent customers of the
prospective repairman. Often a phone call is not adequate to
communicate your accordion problem to an accordion repairman; instead it
may be necessary for the repairman to see and open the instrument to
determine the extent of the necessary repair and to provide an estimate
for the repair; the estimate itself can be expensive. Caution
should be exercised when purchasing a used instrument because even the
seller may not know the cost for bringing the accordion up to good/
excellent playing condition. Consider the cautions described above
when contacting any accordion repairman.
