Bass Dallape Accordion - this accordion was likely manufactured in the
1930's. What is remarkable about this accordion is that it is not
simply a beautiful antique destined only for display in a collector's
showcase. Instead the accordion is meant to be played and it
plays well. The accordion has a dazzling look with rhinestones and inlay all around the accordion.
The accordion has a clean, almost new, appearance inside and
outside. Check the photos (taken in July 2006) which are provided below to gain an appreciation of this impressive
instrument. Imagine the attention that the accordion draws to the
player of this instrument. This accordion makes a wonderful
instrument for the "strolling" musician. The instrument
is tuned to produce a "medium wet" musette sound (see tuning,
below). Recently (July 2006) some songs were recorded using this accordion. The songs are provided in mp3 and wma format to listen to or to download. The sound of the songs recorded is very similar to the sound of the songs recorded for the 120 Bass Dallape Accordion listed under "Interesting accordions". However the recordings were indeed recorded separately for each instrument. Some information about the accordion: Weight: 21 pounds Full 41 key treble keyboard Four Sets of Treble Reeds consisting of one
LOW (L) and Three MIDDLE (M) Original Carrying Case is in excellent condition - The functional styling of the case eases the carrying of the accordion.
